PROJECT STITCH

Recently I participated in a language school delegation organized by STITCH.  Along with fifteen other delegates I spent a week in Guatemala learning Spanish and meeting with local Guatemalan unionists, activists, and organizers. 

What began as a simple project to record the week's events has materialized into a deeper and more meaningful project.  The documentaries that come forth from this project will be tools that groups and individuals can use to teach and inform others on the history and struggles of the Guatemalan labor movement.

I met many brave women and men whose dreams lie in a Guatemala that is truly for the people.  This project is dedicated to these brave ones who dare to hope.
